Fitness for the Mobility Challenged: Facilitating the Law of Movement Therapy

In 1982, the Flexiciser™ technology was developed by Kenneth Richardson in Santa Fe Springs, CA.  Mr. Richardson noted that those with Parkinson’s had movement constraints including gait issues.  As an innovator, he created a passive technology which would “Facilitate the Law of Movement”. He built the machines one at a time as the orders came in going from one trade show to another.  Mr. Richardson was one of the first exhibitors at the Abilities Expo and a recently celebrated his 27th anniversary at the show.

It was not until nearly two decades later, when Arthur M. Kassel met Mr. Richardson through a mutual friend.  Mr. Kassel was astonished by the people lined up at a trade show to experience the Flexiciser™.  They formed a corporation which today is Flexiciser™ International.  With Arthur M. Kassel serving as the Chairman and CEO, Bryan S.J. Mallindine serving as the President, and Kenneth Richardson as the Founder, Flexiciser™ has transformed.  The machines are now professionally manufactured in California, the company has received UL and FDA approval, VA/GSA contract, and opened a new headquarters in Carlsbad, CA.  Mr. Kassel lead the process of transforming the prototypes into what is Flexiciser™ today.

Since 1982, we have received letters from all over the world about how the Flexiciser™ has helped to calm spasticity, improve circulation, reduce swelling in the legs and ankles, and improve users’ general sense of well being. By increasing circulation, Flexiciser™ also encourages healing of wounds and ulcers.
